Limnatis is a hamlet located about 20 km northwest of Limassol in the Troodos Mountains. It is located at an altitude of about 500 meters above sea level and one of its main attractions are almond groves. Guests of this village have a special feeling if they come here in February - during the flowering period of almond trees. The inhabitants of Limnatis also cultivate citrus fruits here.

Only 350 people live in the village. The village is mentioned even during the reign of the Venetians and Franks. The very name of the village comes from the Greek word limni, meaning "lake". There are indeed many small lakes near the village.

A few minutes from the village is the unique church of Agios Epiphanios, built into the rock. In the village itself, there are two more stone churches, Prodromou and Metamorfosis, as well as 8 chapels. Despite the small size of the settlement, there are 2 own parks here. One of them is Tremitos, where one of the oldest trees is located, which is 600 years old. A part of the village, in the area where the Limnatis River flows, is protected by the NATURA 2000 project, which was created to preserve such natural attractions.

The village of Limnatis is the largest almond producer in the Republic of Cyprus. The traditional occupation for the inhabitants of these places is farming. They make pasta, jam, and various drinks from almonds. In Limnatis, there is a workshop for the production of almond preserves, as well as traditional sweets - suzuko and paluse. Local residents are engaged in sheep breeding, thanks to which halloumi cheese and yogurt are produced here.

Preserving the traditions of Cyprus and those traditions that relate directly to these lands, the inhabitants of Limantis probably consider one of their tasks. There are still masters of crochet and basket weaving here. Some of the manufactured goods are sold, while others are used for traditional uses in these places. For example, baskets are designed to dry grapes, extract raisins from them and stand pasta. In the village, all sorts of events are constantly held, reminiscent of master classes, when, in fact, anyone can try with their own hands what the ancestors of local residents did many centuries ago, what they cherish as a tribute to the history and traditions of Cyprus.
