Countryside of Cyprus

Cyprus is an island state, and the island itself is small.

Cyprus is an island state, and the island itself is small. Therefore, it is not surprising that the bulk of vacationers are aware of 4 large resorts: Paphos, Larnaca, Limassol and Famagusta. Plus there is the capital of the island Nicosia, which is interesting not for beach lovers, but rather for connoisseurs of history and culture, and for those who love life in the capital. All other holiday destinations in Cyprus are most often referred to as rural recreation. These are small towns and villages, which are administrative units and are most often considered the suburbs of the aforementioned large cities.

The development of these villages is in step with the times. These are certainly not Russian hinterlands. It has all the infrastructure necessary not only for living, but also for a comfortable stay, from modern roads to real estate. Developers who are interested in the implementation of new projects consider such areas as one of the most promising. Therefore, modern villas and houses are constantly being built in the villages, shops and shopping centers are being built. And for future owners, this is very important in terms of pricing - you can always find a cozy apartment or villa with a pool at a bargain price.

For example, in Limassol, real estate has always been considered one of the most expensive on the island, so the development of a suburb like Yermasogeia, located on a hill, partially relieves this tension by offering modern apartments in residential complexes. Also among the suburban areas of Limassol, the destination in the Troodos mountains is very popular. This area attracts buyers not only with prices and an interesting variety of buildings in the traditional style of Cyprus, but also with the very opportunity to get housing in the mountains, where it is cooler and more comfortable on hot summer days.

Near the historical center of Paphos there is a small settlement of Coral Bay with excellent sandy beaches, a little further is the village of Peyia, where real estate prices are seriously cheaper than in Paphos. Of the prestigious and expensive suburbs of Paphos, it is worth highlighting the areas located near the Akamas nature reserve (the greenest area of the island).

Protaras, Ayia Napa and a number of other areas of Famagusta are already known far beyond the borders of Cyprus as cheerful, noisy and developed resorts with everything you need to relax. But such villages as Pila, Oroklini, Tersefamu are still gaining popularity.
