Small meatballs are prepared from meat, then deep-fried and served with dzatziki sauce. The sauces of Cyprus are another story. There are a lot of them, very different, prepared with different ingredients.

The local kebab kleftiko is also made from lamb, which is served as a separate dish and is used to serve meze. Souvla also resembles a shish kebab - a dish that is cooked on the grill from pieces of lamb and pork. It differs in that the meat is not pre-processed in any way, only salt and spices are added, and then simmer for more than an hour on the grill.

Among the desserts of Cyprus, it is worth highlighting lukumades - cinnamon donuts served on the table with honey or walnut jam.

All the most famous traditional Cypriot dishes are very nutritious and satisfying. The history and recipe for their preparation has been passed down from generation to generation and has survived to this day almost unchanged. In addition, European cuisine is of course served in Cyprus. Great influence was exerted in this respect by the cuisine adopted in Great Britain. Cyprus also boasts of its wines, which have become widely known outside the country in recent years.
