But that shouldn't scare you. Distances in Cyprus are easily covered with a car thanks to the excellent roads. And living in the fresh air away from noise is a special opportunity. There are a lot of such villages in Cyprus. Some of them are located closer to the mountains. But they have one thing in common - nature, sea views, good transport accessibility and quality real estate.

The most affordable property in Cyprus is secondary housing. Here you should pay attention to the year the house was built. A competent realtor will never advise you to buy a home over 30 years old, since in those years the quality of construction work was significantly lower. But there are a lot of options for houses with a construction period of 10 years. It is worth noting that your new home will need maintenance. For example, air conditioners. But the difference in maintenance costs between models installed 10 years ago and modern ones is not very large. The cost of such services as water supply, electricity, gas for a two-room apartment is around 100 euros per month.

All of the above suggests that you should not think of Cyprus as a country of only expensive real estate.
